Free Emigrant Road Tour  / Board Meeting / Linn Cty Hist. Soc. Meeting  
April 25 will be a special day at the Oregon capitol building, called "Lewis & Clark: A New Beginning.  At 10:00 am Clay Jenkinson will portray Meriwether Lewis before a joint session of the legislature.  At 1:00 pm Joyce Badgley-Hunsaker will play Sacagawea in the house chambers.  Both presentations are open to the public, but seating is limited.  At 2:00 pm students from Chemawa Indian School will display Native American arts and at 3:00 pm the cavalry arrives.  There is a social hour at 6:00 pm.  At 7:00 pm there will be a cotillion, a ball in historical costume, for which tickets are necessary.  Call Debbie Miller at 503-986-1654 for additional information.  The proceeds from the ticket sales go to the Oregon State Capitol Foundation. Music for the evening cotillion will be provided by The Trail Band

This is not an official activity of NWOCTA, but it has significance for us, so I am listing it.
