Each year the Northwest Chapter sponsors several educational and recreational activities, with the purpose of better understanding the emigrant trails in our area. In addition to the main Oregon and California Trails there were many alternates and shortcuts. Here in the Northwest there are at least seven alternates which were used at one time and another. We welcome the public to join us on our tours. And if you have knowledge of a trail site or your great, great, great grandmother's diary or journal then we would greatly appreciate your sharing it with us. Click on the 2002 hanging sign above to see the current schedule or 2001 or 2000  for past events. Three years are kept on the menu, but prior years are still available by special request.
